Privacy Policy

Short version

We try to handle as little data about you as possible. We don’t ask for accounts, we don’t run our own servers for the calculators, and the math you do here happens inside your browser.

What stays on your device

When you fill in a calculator (Coast FIRE, Standard FIRE, etc.), we save your inputs to your browser’s localStorage so the next time you visit, the numbers are still there. This data:

  • Stays on your device. It’s not transmitted to us or anyone else.
  • Can be cleared at any time through your browser’s site-data settings.
  • Is keyed under names like moneymath:coast-fire:v1 if you want to inspect or remove it manually.

What we collect

  • Page-view analytics via Google Analytics (GA4). This sets cookies in your browser and collects standard analytics data — pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP, and device/browser type — so we can see what’s useful and what isn’t. We don’t sell this data. Google’s handling of it is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

What we don’t collect

  • No login data — there are no accounts.
  • No payment data — none of the calculators currently cost anything.
  • No fingerprinting, and we don’t sell your data. Cookies are limited to the Google Analytics and Google AdSense services described under Third-party services.

Third-party services

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare logs basic request data (IP, user-agent) for the duration needed to deliver the site and protect against abuse, per Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

The site loads Google Analytics (GA4) for traffic measurement and Google AdSense for advertising. Both are Google services and may set their own cookies; Google’s use of that data is governed by Google’s privacy policy. You can opt out of Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.

Affiliate links are marked Sponsored and use rel="sponsored nofollow". Clicking them takes you to the partner’s site, which has its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we hold about you and to request deletion of any personal data. We don’t hold a personal database of our own — calculator inputs stay on your device, and analytics/ad data is processed by Google (see above). Email hello@m-calculate.com with the subject line “Privacy request” and we’ll respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when our practices change. The “updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
